Blitz Arcade, one of the UK’s leading and longest-established independent games developers is celebrating a prestigious award win by the ad agency that commissioned them to create a trio of games for Burger King.The three games commissioned by Burger King advertising agency, Crispin, Porter & Bogusky and developed by Leamington-based Blitz Games were recognized when the ad agency won the Cannes Titanium Grand Prix Award at the Cannes Lions, the leading International Advertising Festival, attended by 11,000 delegates. The games sold well over 3.5 million copies in less than 6 weeks when sold through Burger King restaurants at the end of 2006, making them the 3rd best-selling Xbox 360 game of all time. The Cannes Titanium Grand Prix Award recognises innovative ad campaigns that help to redefine the advertising industry.
